I almost expected a supporting book to appear at the end too.
Well it may help someone.
Not sure I miss any food so far.

The addition of cheese to Kiwi pies can only be a good thing; I find many other things that are horrible (such as cauliflower) can be made all the more palatable with the addition of some cheese.

Having just been in the UK for 3-4 months I am afraid to say I did indulge myself: fish and chips, various cheeses, a Christmas tube of Rowntrees fruit pastilles, maltesers, Heinz baked beans with and without sausages, curries, pizzas, steak and kidney pies...and I lost weight!!
Bear in mind I am stuck in America so my desires were tinged by what I can't either get or eat here. The food is much fattier, sweeter and saltier here I have always cooked from scratch wherever I've lived but we've pretty much given up on anything not homemade. Don't know what I'd do without a breadmaker
The homesick thing is a little simplistic. Sometimes a place or country is just not 'right' and never will be, just too many things that don't fit an individual's idea of what they want from life. I don't class myself as homesick, just not suited to living where I currently am. I knew this would be the case-and not just because of not being able to work.
Can't wait to return to NZ in November
