Hi everybody newbies here
Hi everybody,
New to this site and thought I should take the time to introduce myself, we moved here in October 2007, currently living in central Chch, but moving to Rolleston in August....... ish
Married one daughter (2 year old) both of us are working would like to say happily working but lets be honest who really likes to work.
So what have we done on arrival.......... well done the usual, Akaroa.......... stunningly beautiful view when you climb that hill, been to Kiakoura a couple of times, great drive there although the roads can be a tad scary, just back from Queenstown (Easter weekend) went to do a couple of bungee jumps.......... id thoughrly recommend them, scary as hell but great fun.
Just enjoying life here, not homesick atall............ but we are people sick, miss our friends but not the place.
That's about it, well the shortened version anyway

Hi there
Great to hear things are working out. You're so brave doing a bungy - can't quite gear myself up for that one. Snowboarding was hard enough (but fun)
Hub and I are hoping to move to Chch but still here in UK trying to sell house and awaiting PR. Keep having fun

No, there are more than a few immigrants floating about here in the land of the long white cloud.
Yeah, as a side note, there's a great little film (well, I think so) that was made here in New Zealand about the 'last' souls left in New Zealand. It's called 'The Quiet Earth'. Check it out.

Welcome to the forum! I know what you mean about not being homesick, per se, but being 'peoplesick'. I've been going through a horribly rough time recently with that. Doesn't help when family members are sick, either.
Anyway, enjoy the bungy jumping! I jumped off the Sky Tower last April and would do it again in a heartbeat, it ruled! Zorbing is next, now my vertigo has finally gone away.
That sounds quite intriguing, I will look for it.
