Hi My wife and I are in the initial stages of looking at a move to NZ. I work in the transport industry as a transport manager. My wife is a nurse/health visitor and for the last 5 years has been a university lecturer. Only thing is we're not sure of the best place to maybe go.
Can anyone give us any ideas
Thanks for any help

If your wife is a university lecturer you pretty much have the luxury of choosing which city in which you want to live in.
So the next step is to perhaps let us know what sort of things you are looking for, housing, community amenities, etc.
Good luck.

Thanks for getting back. We have looked at all the places in NZ and to be honest we would be intereted in settling anywhere if my wife could find employment as she is the main bread winner and with her qualifications we feel the most likely to find a job easier. We also have 3 kids at 9,3 and 2.
Thanks again for all your help,
Phil

From what I've seen in the paper there seems to be heaps of lecture positions open at the universities. So in your case it looks as if you are in the catbird seat (an enviable position). What sort of lifestyle are you looking for -- big city, college town, farm town, suburban...
