Smile Hello, can you help?

Hi there

We have decided that we should make the move and would love to be in New Zealand Not that it will happen straight away, we are thinking in the next couple of years.

I have been looking on this site for the last couple of months now and have picked up lots of useful information. I have read that regarding qualifications 'Level 3' is the magic number, is this a UK level 3?

I have various quals including 2 level 3 Nvq's (customer service & admin) a level 3 A1 assessors award, City & Guilds post 16 teaching cert/diploma and also a level 5 foundation degree. Are these quals recognised in New Zealand?

I work in education at the moment, but as an administrator. Are there many education jobs around and is there a specific area where polytechinics are?

Thanks in advance for any info

Lou

There are polytechnics all over the country, about 22 of them I think.

As for your other question, the levels are New Zealand equivalents or something like that. You may well have to have your qualifications sorted out by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Jobs in education...yeah, but for the State schools you'd best be degreed and sorted out registration wise. For adult education and Private Tertiary Education (PTE) providers you might have a better chance with your current qualifications. To get these sort of jobs you would find it very difficult to get hired from overseas. Your boots on the ground here will see you have a better chance.

Good luck.
