Default Had family & friends touched by breast cancer? There is a BE fundraiser appeal

Just thought I'd pop a link in our wee NZ forum.

The thread is HERE The fund raiser page is HERE

We all know what a sneaky wretched disease this is. So many of us have it in our family or know friends that have suffered.

Anyway, I thought I'd link to this BE fund raising effort in case any of you fancied donating a few quid or dollars.

I know we have relay for life here in NZ but there is always room for all.

Thanks

Am donating locally right now given that two friends here have just been diagnosed recently with it.

My Brother & his wife have a bottle of champers every friday night to celebrate her surviving this terrible disease. It's approx 13 years since she had it.

Thanks for the link

Most of the $845 has been raised by BE members which is awesome.

Ecomonics are tight at the moment so another tin-rattler isn't necessarily welcomed. I don't post around here (sheep magazines excepted) so didn't feel I had the right to impose.

Sorry to hear about your friends, best of luck to them and hope they are drinking bubbly in 13 years time.

If you mean that the charity is focused on Breast Cancer patient care in Australia then yes, it is.

Another reason I would not, necessarily, expect anyone outside of Australia to donate, I too would focus my donations locally first.

However, all you Kiwis seem to end up over here anyway.

$925, awesome effort by all.

It's a BE fund raiser . It's about breast cancer . Who cares where the fund raising money goes . It's about giving & helping. Not about location.

But it is only natural that people would tend to begin their charitable donations closer to home given limited funds.

Not wishing to stymie my own cause
