Do you try & get work before you go or when you are there?

What's the Score?

Well it really depends on the individual .....some people are getting work firts...others have gone and found work while they are there!

I think it depends on a lot of things ....mainly financial...

are you taking a family?

How easy is it going to be for you to get a job, what are your skills?

How much will you need to earn?

How long do you want to stay?

What sort of person are you?

Iam sure that you will get a rich variety of answers from this forum

we're taking the "get a job once we're there" approach - we didn't want the additional stress of trying to meet employers timescales and we wanted to have a bit of freedom to travel around before getting down to the inevitable daily drudgery - we're fortunate enough to have sought after skills which makes this more possible and it meant our PR wasn't dependent on job offer which I think is quite rare - depending on your situation you might not have a choice.

Would think it seriously depends on what your particular skills are. Are they especially sort after in NZ etc?

Others on this forum who have already begun the process will be able to advise you more.
