Gasping for one!
Does anyone know of a fish and chip shop around Auckland which sells Pukka Pies/saveloys?
Lack of selection at the "chippie" is starting to become a valid reason to head back to the UK!

Interesting, cos my kiwi wife swears blind that NZ chippies are 20 times better than English ones. I cant comment as I dont eat fish, one battered sausage is much like any other one to me.

Good grief that's one expensive way to get a Pukka pie/saveloy
But I do understand. When we lived in the UK I yearned for L & P to go with my gin.

They don't usually have vinegar in the fish and chip shops ...

I said it jest really (I'm not going back!), but its funny how we all seem to miss the little things - a type of food or drink, or a routine etc

I know the feeling not that I yearn for BE pies. Taste is so much about what we are used to. I remember how revolting mushy peas sounded. I eventually decided to try them, then we came back to NZ and I was searching for them in tins.
