Football (Soccer) in Auckland
Hi there,
I moved to Auckland just over a month ago, and I'm really missing my football! I played 3 nights a week back in the UK (a mix of 5-a-side indoors to 7-a-side outdoors). I'm by no means a great player but I love it more than anything and I'm looking for some details if anyone has any contacts/teams/organisations etc looking for players. I can play any night during the week and at weekends.
I live in Mt Eden but have a car so anywhere in Auckland is fine.
As a side note, if any like-minded people live near the Mt Eden area then get in touch and we can meet up! Only being here a month, I'm still in the process of getting to know people. I do live in a house with 19 people though so that helps!
I'm 26, into all sorts of sports (football, golf, tennis, badminton), love movies and music and generally doing new and exciting things.
Thanks!

You may find that your kind-of-average UK rating, means you're the best player on the park here in NZ - the standard is dire! East Coast Bays and Glenfield have strong teams on the Shore. Waitakere is a good team too. I'd have thought that a google search would find you something local to Mt eden - it's out of season just now though.
BTW I had a colleague here in NZ who now plays for the NZ womens team, and professionally in Germany. Which is nice.
