Flights UK to NZ
I have just been offered a great job near Auckland starting in January '10.
So, I have loads to do before then. The biggest concern, probably the same as many of the rest of you, is selling the house.
I need to fly to Auckland at in the middle of January and want to go with my family but this is dependent on selling the house. So my questions are:
Ideally, we will give the house 5 or 6 weeks to sell and then decide if we will book flights for me or all of us. But, we don't want to pay over the odds for our flights for leaving it too long.
Does anyone have any experience of timing their flight bookings?
Thanks

- Should I book my own flight now, or wait to see if the house sells?
- How long can I wait to book before prices start getting more expensive?
- Do prices get more expensive the later you leave it?

January is one of the most expensive times to fly, and it is likely that all the cheaper seats will go if they haven't already. Ask a travel agent for advice on that one. I'd probably say buy them two months before you want to fly.
