We did rent - in Remuera (would recommend this suburb, not beach side but good location and good schools).
I believe that the landlord is selling the property as he gave us 3 months notice to quit and luckily in the end it coincided with our departure date!

We're also now looking like we'll be moving late February rather than mid-March! Hooray!
Who: Just the two of us (there's a song in there somewhere) and we're moving from Cheshire, UK to Auckland!
Departing: Not set a date properly yet but we should be able to soon!
Where to: Auckland
Why: OH landed a job (clever bunny!)
I do completely get the light at the end of the tunnel reference, as the one doing all the paperwork... and that's only for two of us!
