Can anyone tell me if ECANZ is the same as the NICEIC in the UK. If so, is it a necessity to join? My OH is an electrical contractor working on new build houses here in the UK and when we take the leap over the 'pond' he will need to work for someone else first and possibly in the future look to set up on his own.

Any advice from any sparkies much appreciated.
