Diamond Harbour Crossing to Chirstchurch
Hi all, does anyone live, or has lived, in Diamond Harbour?
Was just wondering what the commute to get to Christchurch using the ferry would be like and how much for a mon-fri job?
Also, if I was to drive how long would that take?
Finally, could I buy a boat and ferry myself across? Is there jettys etc..
Cheers
edit: sorry for the typo

Hi Neil, thanks that would be great. Any advice welcome.
If it was a 40 minute drive to ChCh I would quite happily do that to live in the area. It looks fantastic.
Cheers

Fantastic to have the chance to live in Diamond Harbour! You might find it a bit tiresome after a year or so of crossing in the ferry, I recon at least another 15 minutes by car to the CBD. Canterbury can be a very windy place at times, just go down to the harbour at Lyttleton and see the stumps which are all that remains of the Marina building that was blown away one stormy night! I's prefer to have the view of Diamond Harbour from Lyttleton than a view of Lyttleton from Diamond Harbour (If you see what I mean)
