Counting Ourselves Lucky

Counting Ourselves Lucky
Knowing the hassle that Biddy had and the trouble that Bookemjano now seems to be going through-we are very very lucky.
The shippers came in on 30th/31st Aug- two very hot days. Only 2 guys but they were excellent, cannot recommend PSS highly enough. They packed the lot, making sure they left the kettle out to the last minute. Container turned up on 31st and the same two guys packed it- extremely well ( world champ. at tetris me thinks). We had a 20ft container and were expecting about 200-300cu/ft overspill to go groupage, but it all went in. A considerable saving.
The house completed on 02 Sept without a hitch and we went away for a relaxing week and much beer/wine on the 05 Sept.
We are now staying with Vicki's parents untill we get on the plane on 04 Oct. Leaving party is booked for the 30th of this month.
So all in all there is nothing much left to do. Close a few accounts, see those nice people at the Inland Revenue, say lots of good-byes and work on our beer consumption!!!!!!

We've just booked the estate agents to come and value the house, and no we aren't going to tell them or any viewers that we are emmigrating. We have already arranged somewhere to stay whilst OH works out her notice, so that means no chain at our end............
Fingers crossed for a smooth and quick sale.

I am soooooo jealous! 
My hubby has had a job offer since March, the house went on the market in April, we received our Visas in June but we are still stuck here with no sign of a buyer!!!!!
Am well and truly frustrated. Can't wait to get to the stage you're at.
Wish you all the luck - have a great adventure and we'll maybe follow you before too long.
