Default Christmas Crackers

So, I am one of those sad people who get all girlie and excited over Crimbo. So I am already thinking about cristmas crackers.

Does anyone have any good recommendations of mail order shops where they get theirs from? There is a Brit shop in Freeport about an hour away from me, but the selection is very limited.

I remember spending my first Christmas here without crackers, because who knew that they were just an English thing?!!! not me!!! I was so sad. So I refuse to go crackerless again.

Costco sell luxury crackers for about $15 per box of 10 or 12. The problem is they go fast...so buy them as soon as you see them.

TJ Maxx has them, start checking now. Thanks for reminding me! They have become a fixture at my house with the kids' friends. After we got BBC America and my OH finally saw other people doing it he even wears the paper crowns for me. The ones mine have are Tom Smith crackers - www.tomsmithchristmascrackers.com - although the website seems to be sold out!

I have found them in Target the last few years.

Last year I bought some for our office Christmas party and made everyone wear the hats.....

The Tom Smith ones have better prizes in them. Except for the broken teeth puzzle in them the year my daughter got 7 of her front teeth destroyed, she didn't think it was funny.

TJ Maxx has the Tom Smith premium crackers for less than $20.

What were the ones that used to have the little ceramic animals in? I didn't buy them too often as they were more expensive but when my kids were little and we were living in the UK they loved them...

I went for crimbo dinner at a friends house and told everyone that if they took their hats off before dinner was over I'd be really upset! They thought I'd lost the plot. I guess it would seem strange if you haven't grown up with the tradition.

I think the alcohol content in our celebrations helps.
