Hi everyone,
I'd like to send my sister a care package from the UK as she hasn't been back for a few years now due to one thing and another.
Please can you give me some suggestions on UK stuff which can't be found in NZ that would go well in a care package to NZ? I was thinking about sending UK confectionery, bodycare stuff etc. but I don't really know what's already available in NZ as I've never been
I'm going to send a 10kg box.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hard to say without knowing your sister.
Things like Yorkshire Tea are very expensive in NZ. My dad just sent us a load, bless him.
I miss Boots No.7 stuff, proper Cadbury's chocolate (the NZ/Aussie Cadbury's is
. We do have lovely Whittaker's chocolate but sometimes it doesn't quite hit the spot.).
M&S delivers clothes and homeware to NZ, so she can probably get that sort of stuff herself. I still get all my underwear from M&S 14+ years on!!!
What a lovely brother you are.
I'll continue to have a think.

There's probably not that much that you can't get (at a price) these days. Suggest you 'weigh' up the cost of sending 10kg of stuff from the UK versus doing an online shop for her at one of the UK food stores in NZ. Whilst a lot of stuff is available the prices can be prohibitive, so I am sure she would be appreciative of such a lovely gift if only for a bit of nostalgia and reminder of the good old days: https://unionjacks.co.nz/
Just be mindful that there's a lot of stuff available in regular supermarkets too , yet some of these 'UK Food' shops continue to sell at premium prices; Branston Pickle, Colmans Mustard and Heinz Tomato Ketchup for example.
UK Marmite could of course be a yeah or nah for her - if she likes it then a big jar would go down a treat as we can only get weeny little jars.
