Default Car servicing Auckland

Ok, so being single and female I fully admit to knowing bugger all about cars. My car is due (actually overdue ) a service but I'm wary about taking it somewhere and being ripped off.
I've had a few suggestions for places on the shore, where pretty much everyone I know lives, but I'm in Mt Eden and wondered if anyone knew of and would recommend anywhere more local to me.
Its a Toyota if that helps.

Why not book in for a Saturday morning service on the shore, then meet everyone you know for a coffee and a muffin while it gets done?

For this very reason I tended to stick with the AA, they have service centres dotted all around. More recently I have found our local Pit Stop to be fantastic. I have had excellent service from out local one and never felt ripped off they've always taken the time to show me the bit that needs fixing and explain the problem and offer range of solutions, or they've shown me the bits they took off and how it should have looked. They will drive you home or to wherever you need to be and pick you up.

ETA ...and you get Fly Buys. ;0)

5 Star Automotive in Barry's Point Road, Takapuna. Russell and Paul are brilliant and can't say a bad word about them!
