I used to make my own but I can't be bothered in the heat. My second cheat is to get my husband to make the pastry and the kids to assemble the pies. Works for me.

I can buy clotted cream from New World here now and proper double cream from countdown. Such an improvement on nine yrs ago.
Thanks. I have a recipe for mincemeat which seems to include mixed dried fruit, spices and a chopped fresh apple. Stem ginger in mincemeat - yum.

'Aunty Betty's' brand mince pies seem to be the best of the worst.

I have a small iced Christmas cake. However, Christmas cake with chocolate icing just isn't my thing.

I love cold single cream on hot Christmas pudding. Clotted cream or whipped double cream on a scone with jam, yes please.

I'll be making a sherry trifle to eat for pudding on Christmas Day. Whipped cream on the Christmas eve pavlova. Christmas is still yummy, even in summer !

Yes, Lewis Road. I can finally make truffles again! I couldn't stand using that nasty cream thickened with gelatine.

Mmm, such a treat, I'll be looking for some of that, I hate the gelatinous muck too.

Well tell Geraldine to send the rest of us some. Selfish to keep them to just the two of you
Clearwater Clotted cream seems to be popping up in Fresh choice and New World. Introduced a kiwi mate to it on Nigella Lawsons quick chocolate Christmas cake, looked like he was going to have a melt down.

I'm really pleased I got my Christmas outfit sorted

Click through to Glassons site for best effect; it's stunning and has to be seen to be believed.

Bitch stole my look

How could you? I was going to knock the world off its axis on Christmas day by going braless. I thought I'd look the bee's knees in this.

I've got a brand new pair of jandals that I've been saving to wear on the Boxing Day picnic. Snazzy eh ?

I don't mind if you want to copy, just don't go swimming in it or you'll end up like Billy Connolly with the crotch covering your bees knees. LOL

Nice to see that Glassons left the little white label on the inside close to her belly button, maybe it's a security tag?
I was looking at it for a certain forumite who would look pretty hot in this over the silly season.......she knows who she is
