butcher recommendations? HBC/North Shore/Auckland.... help!
Please can someone recommend a decent butcher around HBC/North Shore preferably? The meat-eaters in the house have been eating mince (so versatile 
!) for months and would like to do a ham for Christmas, and maybe some decent sausage and bacon as a treat!

Westmere butchers for sure
they are sooo good
and while not on the shore...Westmere is only a hop skip and jump after the bridge really if you come off at jervois rd

There's a very good one on the main road through Milford (opposite side to the post office).
He does a great range of home-made sausages, as well as free-range steaks, chicken and lamb (He even quotes the farm it's come from
)
Since checking out the fowl chucks of offer at the local supermarket (fowl... get it!!) I think we've single-handedly kept him in business.

Janssens in Browns Bay. Excellent quality and they do excellent sausages, hams and chipolatas for Christmas.

Seaview Meats in Milford are stunning in out experience. Having sausages made entirely of meat takes some getting used to

another vote for the Butcher's Block - not that we've tried the rest mentioned on the Shore.
Plus the bakery next door is ace and next door to that is the best takeaway fish & chip shop in NZ (Oceanz).

Hi Stoof, I'm not that far away for the best homemade English sausage, gammon steaks, rindless back bacon and black-pudding with the world famous Christmas hams... unsmoked of course....

We drove over from Cambridge to get sausages and black pudding last October, well worth it. Couldn't stand the weird processed cheese inserted into the sausages cuzzy had in Hamilton!
