Funny I never heard this one before I came to NZ and now I hear it regularly played on radio in shops etc.
Always brings a smile to my face and makes me laugh anyway:

Christmas songs are inevitably awful*.
However I went along to see a choir perform in a local church, which was average, but they performed “Of a Rose synge we†which is of course one of the great English carols. You couldn’t help but realize Christmas has a much more meaningful place in our culture than the superfluous consumerism and Germanic traditions that have overwhelmed peoples sense of what Christmas is, something much more humble for the industrious working people
.
*Except for The Snowman of course.
