Default bed size

does anyone know the actual size of a kingsize mattress in NZ?

if we go to NZ next year, i'm considering getting bedding here in germany to take along, and i don't want to get the wrong size as i know it can differ a bit. we currently have a double bed but we've always dreamed of a king (superking in UK).

can anyone help?
thanks

Default Re: bed size

From Sealy NZ website:

6ft King: 1835mm x 2030mm Provides a very generous sleep area for two people

King: 1680mm x 2030mm
(Unique to New Zealand)
Growing in popularity as it provides a generous sleep area for two people

Queen: 1525mm x 2030mm A popular choice for couples, most commonly sold size

Double: 1385mm x 1900mm Moderate room for two sleepers, ample for one

King Single: 1055mm x 2030mm Growing children, mature single sleepers

Single XL: 915mm x 2030mm Single sleepers, confined sleeping spaces

Single: 915mm x 1900mm Ideal for children and young students

Hope this helps
