Australian branch slagging NZ

I have made a benign post inviting them to start a thread here. If they take up the offer, then everyone who lives here can put their twopennorth in about their NZ lives, warts and all .
Bit difficult for that OP to get a balanced view about coming to live in NZ from just the Oz forum IMHO. Better to also start a thread here also for a variety of opinions.
At the end of the day though, it's a suck it and see experience no matter where you choose to emigrate .
If the OP is unhappy with the country overall , then a new one may help. Depends on what he/she is unhappy with.
I know of people that have tried two or three places in NZ, found it not to suit and then moved onto Oz or back to the UK, or even into other parts of Europe and lived happily ever after.
If it's just about feeling isolated in a small community then a move to an Oz city could equally do the trick.
Unless we hear from the OP we cannot know.
I'll send a formal invitation via PM.

Agree with Bevs-everyone on the site knows we exist,we think we're better off than them,and vice versa. The fact that we know we're less prone to skin cancer,and,according to the World Health Oranisation,cleverer and happier shouldn't deter anyone from contributing to either site!! Yeah baby!

Where did you get that from? Just that I burnt in NZ every summer but have gone a lovely brown over here 
Having lived in Akl for a year then ChCh for 2 IMHO Brisbane is far better for us, as Bevs knows we only live 40 mins from the Gold Coast and I have a fridge full of different beers

you lot have made my day ... UK immigrants scrapping over the pros and cons of Aus and NZ.Come on ... please, the lifestyle of NZ and Aus are not the same, never have been and never will be !
