Arrived! What are thr best, cheap shops for furniture etc?
So we have arrived in Christchurch just over two weeks ago! After a lot of travelling we are now happy to settle and start our new life.
Now we have our place, we are looking for furniture to fill it, as well as fridge, TV and washing machine.
On browsing, we have found that prices differ a lot!
Any advice on the best value shops?
Even good second hand shops (had a look on Trade Me) in Canterbury area would be helpful.

Get yourself down to Smiths auctions Smiths Auctions - Christchurch :: Smiths Auctions or look at their catalogs on line 
If you get stuck for transport you hire a trailer for 1/2 day I have a tow hitch....

Where possible wait for the sales (Harvey Norman, Noel Leeming, Briscoes have sales about 3 months or more a year. Note NZ is now a bit like HK, haggling seems to be the rule and the sticker price is usually just a starting point.
