Question Which area of Hamilton?

Looking at possible areas to live in order to cost up rentals and look into schools for the children.

I have 2 boys who will be 16 and 11 when we move over there.

I anticipate the maximum budget to be $350 per week for rental.

I need to be able to access Waikato Hospital for work, either driving up to 30 minutes, or walking (public transport may not work for shifts).

Any 'inside' knowledge of good areas/schools to look at, and/or areas/schools to watch out for would be most useful.

Hillcrest - get them into hillcrest high, and plenty of housing in your budget. It is close to the uni so be a bit picky when viewing. Have you looked for rentals on trademe?

Thanks.

Yes, been looking at Trade Me but it's hard not knowing anything about the areas! I have seen Melville as well, what's that like?

I don't know, but hillcrest high is tightly zoned so i would suggest looing on their website and going from there. There are some shitty schools in Hams, you want to aim for hillcrest.
