Anyone interested in a meet-up in Christchurch?
Hi all,
We (family of 4) have recently arrived in Christchurch after 3 great years in Tauranga. I'd forgotten what it is like without family and friends (again!) and would be keen to meet others living here.
We're currently based in Merivale but are moving over to Cashmere towards the end of November. We've met a few people so far but I'm working from home until the end of the year so opportunities to meet others are a bit limited!
Look forward to hearing from people,
Jac

So am I... and I vaguely remember a promise to buy Persephone candy pops and a night out (in?) in an earthquake shelter... That bar that is a lorry in Merivale is pretty good, we can always sit under the tables rather than at them. It's also the only place I stand a chance of finding - and even then it will involve wandering around in circles for a while... Don't know how child friendly it is though?

How about we try and organise something then, somewhere in Merivale- Italian and then bar?

JDV does food too, well above average food for a bar. Tutto Bene can be very noisy and hard to hear people talking. We'd be up for a meet

Hmm will have to think about that. I tend to finish work at 7pm every night and sometimes later. Maybe a weekend would be better for everyone?

Bloody hell if you are going to be that close to my bach (No4 Bar) then I might even meet you for a pint.
Most days are good for me, I try not to let work interfere with drinking..

We are in Halswell (me, hubby and 3 year old, with one due very soon , I really should write an update!!). Happy to meet for a coffee - a few nice places in Cashmere.
