Default Anyone got the new Harry Potter?

My mum has it on order, so we will get it tomorrow. We were going to Borders bookshop to get it at midnight on Friday, but I got a severe bout of food poisoning so scrubbed that ... "It's like the Battle of the Somme down there". (Line from The Vicar of Dibley). Maybe I had a spell put on me ... :scared:

Picked it up in Sainsbury's at 9am Saturday morning for a bargain £8.49 - loads of copies. No hassle, no queues.......

Hello
We were the 4th family in line at our local Wearhouse yesterday. We joined the queue at 10.25am ready for the launch at 11.01. Paid $27.80 and because we were in the first 50 people got a free HP cap.
Daughter has been glued to it ever since.
Cheers
Gill

Amazon delivered ours on Saturday morning too. £8.99 I think, although you could get it in Kwiksave on Saturday for £4.99 before noon (I think) as long as you're under 16!

One of the lads from a book group I run at the library got up at the crack of dawn and went to a book signing and got J K Rowling's autograph for me. Isn't that sweet? Right that's going straight on Ebay (only joking )

Certainly have! Bought if from Smiffs, then went to Tesco where I could have picked it up for £4 cheaper Only read the first chapter, put it down then Jake nicked it! He's sworn to secrecy though as he reads faster than me!!!

Hi.

We have a 24 hour flight to look forward to in the next few weeks so I am going to get a copy when we are back in Uk and read it on the way. Only problem is Andrea wants to read it too so I might have to buy two copies!!

Yep, avoided the ques and got it the afternoon from the Warehouse, loads available - and just re-reading the last to be sure I don't miss a thing as had been so long inbetween them.

Also got the book from Amazon and it landed on Saturday morning. Couldn't put it down and read by 9.40pm on Sunday (as I wanted to get it read before my head got crammed full of work in the week). If anyone is waiting for their OH (like Lyns was) then I would recommend revising what happened in the last book (like Shellie) again.

We got it from Amazon but to be truthful we went shopping to Asda on Saturday afternoon and found that it was a £1 cheaper that we got it from Amazon (which was £8.99)!

Anyway, have a good time reading it!

No.

Does that win the "The most pointless post of the day" award?

T'other half received his copy via Amazon on Saturday at precisely 1pm BST.... parked himself under a tree and read it through in one hit, finishing at just a tad before 6pm same day. How understanding am I?? Kids weren't too impressed, it was their favourite tree!
