Any ex UK nurses on here ?
Need some info please if anyone can help? very worried and anxious about getting over to NZ.
Wife (Sarah) and I are UK Psych Nurses of 16+years each. Both got NZ job offers, enough points, even got relatives in Wton.
Sarah had her UK Nursing Reg "equated" very quickly in NZ but mine has been deferred to be presented again next month> they wont tell me why but I suspect it may be because I have some criminal offences from past - what is the likelihood of me getting my reg through?
Offences are 1)Stealing a car 1987 - extenuating circumstances, just fined
2)Drunk Driving 1997 - no excuse I was a selfish fool, 12 month ban
3)Caution for Drunk and Disorderley. NOT convicted. 2001
None of the above have affected my ability to gain or retain nursing jobs and I have reached a senior level here in UK.
Help - worried as hell!!!
