Wow just saw there was an earth quake this morning in Hawkes Bay, hope everyone is ok

Has there?!! not too serious I hope. People there will probably be better prepared than the Cantabrians were for their next big one.

Stay safe, look after each other and your neighbours and get those emergency kits sorted out. Make sure you've got plenty of water, batteries and radio and you secure heavy objects and water tanks.

That's probably the biggest one they've had for a fair while, I really feel for them. Some of the comments are heart wrenching

"We here in Christchurch had 2 last night that were 5.4 "they" are calling them after shocks, we residents are calling them more bloody scary earthquakes! We are all so on edge it's an awful way to be living day after day, thanks for everyone's kind messages and prayers... keep praying for us please!"

I've just been on the phone for 50 mins to my friends in Kaipoi, they are seriously shaken up by whats been happening.With continued aftershocks and not much re-assurance comming from the authorities. They've got sand volcanoes in the yard , the house opposite has moved forward one foot and has been condemmed, and the new sub-division almost completely ruined..it's not good ...
