Hi there, was wondering if anybody knows where to collect air freight sent Christchurch Airport?
All details given have been very vague but apparently all the stuff is there now according to the guy back home.

Any help or info would be a big help, cheers folks

You need to know what company handled the freight for you. There is no one place to collect this stuff.

If your stuff was sent with anyone except Emirates then you will need to go to Air New Zealand Cargo. head up Memorial ave as if you were going to the airport, and after the Russley Rd / Memorial Ave roundabout you will see a Helicopter place on the left. take the left turn immediately after that and turn first right (its about 20 metres ) Air New Zealand Cargo is on your left.
If your stuff has arrived on Emirates (your paperwork should start with a 176 or flight number starting EK) then they are handled by Menzies, they are behind the Air NZ depot, so instead of turning first right you turn second right, the building has a big Fedex sign at one end, you want the other end.

take your passport and make sure you have a full list of the contents, you will be sent to MAF and Customs with your paperwork and get the 20 questions routine with them.
make sure to bring your chequebook too, there will be charges to pay for the Bond store, MAF and customs charges (MAF are more likely to charge than customs, but be prepared)
