I think I've only seen the bits of a weta that my cat didn't want !
About six wetas were rehomed into our garden when we had our fence replaced last year.
We used to have a cat that loved to catch cicadas in the summer and bring them into the house. I'd sometimes find tell-tale bits of cicada dependent on how much she had eaten of one !

ChrisW - here's your coat
didn't think to name it, Mr Fychan wants to call it Willy Weta - dirty bugga
But as its a female, so he says, he thinks probably Henrietta
neither the Russell or Bertrand are interested now even when we stick it under their noses.
so going in a jar in the study
