Advice on Contract
Hi,
I have just been offered a position in Auckland. The employer has sent through the contract and I have ten days to negotiate the terms.
I was just wondering if there is any specific I should be looking out for in the contract in terms of pensions, health insurance, etc. I suspect it is pretty standard, but is there anything in particular I should try to negotiate into the contract. The costs of visas and relocation will be covered, so it is just domestic factors I need to consider.
Thanks.
P.s. Is negotiating a contract like this quite common in NZ. My experience in the UK in similar fields is that you get what you are offered, take it or leave it.

Re: Advice on Contract
Negotiating the salary is expected.
Its a good idea to review the contract terms against the Department of Labour's standard / mandatory requirements.
