2 months here. Christchurch
Hi everyone. My wife and I have taken the plunge at last. I am 63 and my wife same. Son sponsored us to come here seems like years ago. Here 2 months in rented house in Richmond Christchurch. Sort of retired and looking for part time work which might not be easy considering age. We are both from Galway IRELAND. Very lonely at first but getting better. House rented in Ireland nearly impossible to sell at the moment. We were looking for similar age group to make friends with and have chats etc. Would help great to settle in. I done complete maintenance for large hotel in Galway, so find it hard to pass time and my wife does not work either. but we are determined to make it work here.,

Did you meet the Irish Rugby team last night? Apparently they invited all the irish expats over here to their hotel yesterday
