1 year away but starting planning
Hi all,
Family of 3 now ( but another on the way) planning to move to the Auckland area in Feb 2012. I am banker (not popular in UK at the moment) and my wife is a civil engineer. I understand there is a great demand for engineers in NZ at the moment - not so sure about bankers!
We want to escape our London life and find a better place to bring up our kids. We are very fortunate as both my wife and my mum are Kiwis so neither of us have passport issues but still a daunting move!!
Looking forward to hearing all the top tips and advice from this great community.
Adam.

Welcome to BE & especially our wee, friendly NZ forum. Are bankers popular anywhere at the moment . Any plans as to where you plan to live in Auckland?
Any questions just fire away & lots of lovely people will be able to help. Good luck with your plans.

Thanks for the welcome. Good advice about kids - the one we currently have has a Brit passport, as will new arrival. Will have to sort visas.
We have family in St Helliers / Mission Bay so will initially look at somewhere in that area.
Exciting starting this process!!
