Childrens nurse UK to Netherlands
HI everyone, need some advice. I am a registered childrens nurse in the UK and I have recently moved to the netherlands. is it posible to reister as a nurse in the netherlands if you are a trainned childrens nurse? Has any one been successfull?

Maybe an explanation of the short cryptic message in post one is needed.
I think the question should be what are your Dutch language skills. Scott has quite rightly pointed out in a previous post that To work in most environments you need good language skills What level is your Dutch?

I know one lady who qualified. It took her around 3 years to get her Dutch up to standard before being made to take an 'update' course, and then she could practice.
If you're dealing with Dutch children or patients, you are going to need total fluency.

Monoglossia rules in the Anglosphere ! The myth continues that "Everyone speaks English. Why should I learn the local lingo ?"
I suppose cynics would say that as a language teacher and interpreter I have a vested interest in promoting the learning and teaching of foreign languages ! Doh !
