Arrow Your Photos

Hi everyone,

I've been thinking how nice it would be if posters would include their own pictures of places they refer to in their posts, like their towns, maybe houses in their neighborhoods, rooms in places they visit or homes...like decorating styles, appliances, etc., places they vacation, nice places they frequent.

I know I can find google photos, but they aren't necessarily personal. They are more professional photos than personal. I'd like to see reflections of real life.

What do you think of this idea?

It would also be nice for people like me who are over the hills and very very far away.

How would it work though? I get my films developed and printed at Boots, then I hold the print up to the iPad screen to magically transfer it to this thread or what?

OK, I have attached 3 pictures from bonnie Dumfries and Galloway. We have scenic tidal marshes from the village I live in, my eldest hand feeding a red deer at the local range (this is allowed by rangers), and a red squirrel at our local bird hide.

These are all around the Newton Stewart area. The moments when these were taken were all times where I felt happy with our chosen area of residence back here in the UK.

Hope this works!

Film photo's 'I wish'

Over here in the Toronto area you cant buy film & all the regular places (supermarkets, drug stores) that did so, no longer develops either - unless of course you are a professional photographer that pays huge price for film & specialty developing places

Meanwhile cross border shopping in Buffalo NY, Walmart sells & develops film in one hour

Lovely photos elonii, what a lovely area you live in. We have farmer friends in the Newton Stewart area and it's a joy to visit them. We used to camp on their land back in the 1960's when the current farmer was just a teenager. His parents and mine became friends. Last year, I got my first visit in 50 years, we saw them earlier this year again - can't wait for next summer!

That wouldn't be much use to Gabby as I am sure she wants to see colour pictures.

CTRL (I think, or it might be Shift) and the and keys toggle the screen orientation on Windows computers.
