our little girl spent more time inside in Oz than she ever has in the UK, its just too hot to go out in whereas at least here you can wrap up warm and put your waterproofs on.


This is so true!! Our 6 year old want to play outside on the trampoline but it's far to hot, one bounce and she done in!!

In the UK we were outdoors far more than we are now. I would rather go out for a walk in the freezing cold than in 35+ heat!!

I use to ride my horse in all weather, rain, snow whatever but here you can't ride in 27c+ heat, it's unbearable for the horse and for me.

What I do wonder about is why they seem to advertise the '30 min walk a day' thingy on TV only during the summer months? Surely it's better to walk when it's cooler and safer away from the extreme rays of the sun?

3 minutes is about the max at 5 in the morning with factor 45 +, a hat and water bottle.
