Re: whinge - the update forum
is anybody getting my thread????????? i just dont like the 10 days and two week updates, rose tints, 10 years , people luvin or hating it , doesnt bother me , but the ridiculous 'luvin it , been here 10 days threads' annoy the hell outta me,
Polly is right and i do not begrudge anyone happiness , infact i take exception to being accused of doing so.
I am truly sorry for your predicament and hope things get better quickly. I have no fights with aus, or their health care (well actually i do with the health care, but thats a whole other thread)

Been here nearly 3 years.
I love it, hate it, find it too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry etc...but it really depends what mood I am in.

Re: whinge - the update forum
I actually like reading the update threads, whether it's 10 days, 10 months, or 10 years, it is interesting to see how other people are getting on.
Sometimes there are update threads when people hate it here from day one, then people just tell them to give it more time and it might get better.
If people want to post a "2 days here and loving it", just be happy for them.

It would be nice if they could keep their happiness underwraps for more than 10 days though and then tell us how they feel, coz let me tell u babe they havent got a clue at that time!

I dont think i've ever been in there. Doesnt really bother me either way whether they are happy after one day or one year.
If we are all honest a fair few of us were bright bouncy and elated at our arrival. There isnt anything we can say or do to change how they feel at that moment.
I just get a wry smile when i read that kind of stuff and wait to see if it changes down the line as it did for me.

It doesn't bother me. Just saying at the times in my life when I am having a blast the last thing on my mind is coming on a website and telling strangers about it. Family and Friends yes, writing a blog, er no, too busy enjoying myself.

I get the feeling the early updates are along the lines of helping those 'back home' to go for it - wow, it's great, it's heaven, we've got a big car, come on everyone, jump in!!
