Does a working holiday visa count? Thats what I had the first time I came out here. like every body else has said its unfortunately its hasn't worked out as I know how expensive it is just to fly here let alone move, but all the best and have a safe trip back to the motherland.
You could say its been expensive, but money not the issue with me.
thanks for the best wishes, and I hope i have a safe flight as well. (rather a nervous flyer, and thats stretching it

Good luck with everything. I really believe everything which happens is for a reason. Now you have been and it hasn't worked out you will have a new found appreciation for England and your family and friends there. If you had never come to Australia you would always be wondering what if! now you know

hi all
been here eight weeks but going back to uk next saturday. Sad to be leaving here after such a very short time. Basically, things bad at begining but got better when principal went but then youngest son said he would never come over here to live and thats the reason i was staying. Now seems no point, yes I know he wil leave home eventually, but other things got in the way..to many to go into.
However, I have had noting but friendlyness, and help from EVERYONE ive met. (except the previous principal)
I came home tonight and tried to book a flight for the week after next but no chance all full up (singapore airlines that is) only date left was the saturday, and luckily the movers can come on the friday so all falling into place. Ive also secured a terms teaching so happy about that.
so finish work friday and leave saturday. anyone want to buy a car?

I don't think I could take a step back , if you like. I've told the kids that if we ever come back it wouldn't be to Teesside. I'd try somewhere else. Although Lorraine is coming back for her kids who are in Teesside so not really an option for her.
Hows it going Lorraine? Are you all sorted? Good luck mate. I hope you feel settled once you return

I agree. Although I'm not planning on returning to the UK, I know that things don't always turn out as you would like.

dont quite know how im feeling, im looking forward to seeing the boys, dont think they will feel the same when i give them the tounge lashing they deserve. They are so ungrateful, I sometimes feel ashamed, and wonder where i went wrong with the pair of them.
My knee jerk reaction was to think id never get back here because of my age and being on SIR visa but ive had time to think and will think it through very throughly on my return. I cant see my staying on teesside for ever either.
I see your heading out in Sept, hope things go very well for you, which im sure they will.
catch u later i hope.

I truly believe that kids don't see their parents as a person and yours probably don't realise what a big step you've just taken. I bet when they are a bit older they will end up feeling bad about you returning for them.
It's time you did what's right for you!
