Default Walls come tumbling down!!!

I don't like cut and paste but here goes . . .

LONDON (Reuters) - High-flying house prices could nearly halve over the next few years, a City report has predicted.

David Pannell, an analyst at investment bank Durlacher, predicted house prices will fall 30 percent from their peak, with falls "sharper but shorter than in the 1980s" and added that there was a risk prices may fall as much as 45 percent.

Kind of highlights, one person's happiness is another person's sadness!!!

Makes me feel better if I decide to go and do a grown up thing like buy a house!

Makes going home feel easier!

I'm renting until the housing market drops...though I have noticed that it's first time buyer houses that are heavily overpriced...example...2 bed terrace (cottage) in Biddulph (N Staffordshire village) for £95,000.....4 bed detached house on a newish housing estate in a good area of Newcastle, Staffs (the area I was born in) for £125,000......go figure...this has an integral garage and a good sized plot too !! This seems to be a pattern emerging....stinging those that are trying to buy their first property....but it wont last forever...it cant.

Hi Rich, might see you around at the weekend then. Staying with rellies near Biddulph for a few days before we head further north to our patch. Been away 6 months in Oz, took that long to realise how good we had it at home: jobs, good schools, etc. Can't wait!!
