Default Visit Visa for the UK

Hello forum . I may not be on the right thread so hope Mods will direct me to right thread.

first of all Happy new year 🎊 everyone! I’m here because I need help to gather information for my sister who would like to visit me in the UK. My sister is from India and she has never travelled abroad before but I really want her to able to visit me. So I’m bit worried if it will be ok for her to apply for travel visa or what? I need all the information and documentation requirement for her to be able to visit me. Please hoping someone will enlighten me regarding the process for her visa . Thank you

She has to show she can finance herself for her visit (bank statements, payslips etc) and that she will return to India (employment, commitments in India)
If she is not financing it, then you can sponsor her ....

Thank you SDG, She has a job and savings that’s not a problem plus she’s married so her husband would be back home when she visits me so she has that commitment . However she has no travel history it’s fresh passport so idk if that can be an issue. Plus I was wondering what would be better for her to show her own accommodation or it’s ok for her to show my place for stay ? Like how is she likely to get approved as tourist or as a visitor who is visiting her sister.

Having a brand new passport shouldn't make any difference, everyone has a new/renewed passport at some point in their travel life..... Probably best to carefully go through all the online materials at the .gov website SanDiegoGirl provided then see if there's anything in the questions asked / documentation to be provided that will be problematic for her to respond to.

Hello forum , Hope everyone is having a good day.
so I’m here today because sister has started getting her ducks in a row to apply for visit visa and I wanted to know since she will be staying with my husband and I , Do we need to give any documents regarding our place like utility bill etc and our address has changed since my ILR application so this address is not in their data so it that ok? And how can I share my evisa for her application since we don’t have brp anymore.

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps clear this out for me .

Just a heads up for fellow travelers—I recently had to fly to India on very short notice for a family emergency. I was worried about the visa, but I found that you can actually get an Emergency e-Visa processed incredibly fast (sometimes under 24 hours) if you have the right assistance. <<<SNIP>>>
