Default Uk weather - 18 degrees in mid February.

The Daily Express's headline yesterday was "Glorious" with pics of kids playing in the sea in their shorts and Tshirts!

Well, we all know it may be a one off but it makes a change from headlines about flooding and horrendous gales, doesn't it and I thought it was good enough news to share in this forum.
It's a pleasure to think of the place in bloom already.

I am so glad the weather is good, my son is on an exercise in the Brecon Beacons this week. He was a bit fearful that it would be peeing down with rain and snow like it was when they did the exercise a few months ago.

Yes, it quite mild for the time of year, although during the majority of January 08 it was raining and very wet here indeed. So, I suppose the weather systems are continueing to change.

I am of the age when I can still remember that it would snow every Christmas, but that expectation has long since disappeared, to be replaced by somewhat different weather patterns. Not complaining mind, the longer the snow stays away from my front door the better I will feel.

Then I looked at the weather in Manchester and would you believe it - it was 55F!!!

It was 10 degrees here a couple of days ago, today on the coast though it was 22 degrees. I was wearing jeans and jumper with boots and didn't feel hot but there were some tourists in shorts. Glad they are having some good weather in the UK

Every year the UK is breaking historical records with the weather, Spring is coming earlier and earlier year after year, frogspawn and daffs out already and the last month has been glorious...Then again I would hate it if the UK ever started to have the weather the Med gets as I love our climate as it is thank you very much
