UK voting?
As it looks like old Golden Brown's days are numbered I thought I'd better find out how to vote in a general election from over here....
Is there more than one way to do it? can I for example have my dad do it on my behalf, or do I need to mail it in?

Proxy voter would be the way to go...postal vote wouldn't usually give you enough time, by the time you get it you've got to overnight it to get it back in time.
Proxy is just a lot easier if you've got family or someone you trust who'll vote who you wish for.

Bob,
I think I'll do the proxy thing and have my old dad go out and vote for me, it looks like the simplest way.

Re: UK voting?
Oddly enough, this came up the other day, in the context of the Euro elections.
One funny thing about the process is that you have to find another Brit to sign your form. I'm not displeased about that, as it'll give me an excuse to pop up to the plant and ask to see the guy that runs it...
