Traveling back to uk from nz by sea?
Just read a thread about someone thinking of traveling back from the US by sea, has anyone done this from NZ? Any information would be great thanks, looking at all options of traveling back to the UK. Cheers

I think that is a lovely idea. Why not make a trip of it !
You could try asking the freighter cruise ship people about this. They may be able to give you some pointers if they cannot help directly.
Also, these cruise people may be able to help
Hope this helps.

We came out to NZ by ship... but that was back in the early 70's. Took six weeks in total.
There's a poster over on the NZ part of BE whose mother flew from Heathrow to Honolulu, then did the remainder of the trip by sea from there.
I'd love to travel back home 50/50 air/sea. The near 30 hours of travelling is horrific for me - I don't 'do' flying all that well and hate waiting around in airports.
Hopping on the Queen Mary 2 and being pampered would do me just fine!
