Tips for reaching FBU in London?
There are several helpful threads on here regarding how to deal with US Social Security "pension" claims after moving to the UK. Up until now, I've had no issues getting through to the FBU helpline at the US Embassy in London, by calling 020 7891 3926, and selecting Option 1.
For over 2 weeks though, it seems that the line is always unavailable. On about 2 occasions of over 100 attempts, I thought I had got through and was put on hold, but after 15 minutes on Hold, the robotic voice response chimed in again to say there was no-one available.
Does anybody know any tricks for getting through to a person? I've used the email address before, and may just have to resort to it again, but (a) it's a slightly complicated question that really needs to be discussed, and (b) it takes forever to get a reply to an email.
(I've also used the 020 7499 9000 number and selected xt 23926, but that has produced the same outcome).
