tier 4
Hi, i had a student visa "Tier 4" which is not expired yet, 6 months ago i had an emergency and told my school that i'm leaving the uk, and i have been told that they will contact the home office and let them know that i cancelled my course which is something i was ok with, now i solved my problem back home and wanna go back to study in the uk, i know that my current visa is suspended since the school had reported me to the home office but my question is can i go to the uk using the same visa and then try to apply for another tier 4 once i'm in the uk? will my current Tier 4 allow me to get in the uk or will they stop me at the airport?? it won't expire before november! hopefully someone with experience will be able to answer my question, thank you.

Re: tier 4
Thank you for replying, i did contacted the school and they said my course has been cancelled and they weren't really helpful, but the thing is all they care to see at the airport is valid visa and i have a 6 month old letter of confirmation from the school, what else would they ask for ?

Tier 4 visas are issued to those students who have an offer from an eligible institution for a recognised course PRIOR to them entering the UK. This is not the case with you. You have no course to go to. Therefore you have no eligible visa to enter the UK. What are you intending to do? You are not studying and you cannot work. You should apply for another course and another Tier 4 visa. Since the school has informed you that it intended to inform the Home Office that you had cancelled your course you run the risk of being stopped at the border. The UK has grown tired of 'students' who enter the country, don't complete their courses and somehow never return home. |
Re: tier 4
My girl is british and we are gonna get married when i get there, and it's better if we are together while going through the marriage process. i don't really care for the course, but i just wanna use the actual visa to get there since i have already paid the course fees.

Re: tier 4
So you should be looking at the fiance/marriage visa route.
It might be tempting to try and 'finesse' a passport stamp that you currently have but it's not without its risk to your future ease of entry/exit from the country. You'll do what you decide to do. I would suggest you stop thinking with your second brain and evaluate your long term situation properly. Not least because it's actions like this that hold up the line for people who are following the appropriate route to entry. |

Re: tier 4
I'm not entering illegally, i have a valid visa, and if the school decided to cancel my course because i had an emergency situation then that's their problem, i didn't receive an email or notice from the home office nor the school stating that i'm not eligible to re-enter the country using the current visa that i have, so i will just let them know that i had an emergency. thank you for your replies

Seems you did cancel it. Ergo the course place that underpins the validity of the visa is no longer there. Ergo the visa is not valid if it needs to have a course place to go with it?

For that you need a marriage visa In addition if you intend to remain in the UK after marriage there are immigration/financial requirements to fulfill. |
