Now when they join up with the Aborigines who have been treated worse than dogs from Captain Cook landing to present day authorities, you will have the same problems. Did I read recently that Aboriginal "youths" have taken to beating up white guys. The bush fires that threatened Sydney in 2004 were reported to have been started deliberately....by whom? Aboriginals have used fires long before the "settlers" to clean the land.
Its not just the "muslims" its any group of dis-functional mis-fits with "cause" justified only between their ears or by oppression ( real or percieved)
You should also remember that these groups feed on this oppression and seek help from other "oppressed" groups who have access to weapons.
The IRA and other terror groups can never be defeated as Tony Blair and others have found..because you can never find them all.
Now imagine your worst fear...aboriginal terror squads armed by Osama bin Laden reaking havoc on the OZ tourist industry, wonder how much financial strain that would give the Oz authority when 600,000 per year Brits alone return to Benidorm! Its not impossible.
Jeeze vinny , i would stick to painting, you know "jack shit "about Australia or it,s people. The Modern Australian Aboriginal, is one of least oppressed people ,in the world, they are looked after from cradle to grave, they just hav,nt realised it yet. ............ mm

When l was at the Alice Springs Camel races last year l saw a tall bearded Afgan guy (Afgans intoduced camels to OZ ) talking to a group of Aborigines. Maybe it was benny Laden organising one of his Aboriginal terror squads to reak havoc on bustling downtown Alice Springs.

Hi Martin

Just read your thoughts on Perth and what you didn't like about it. I only really have one question for you - If Perth (australia) is so bad why on earth are you waiting it out for your dual citizenship. Forgive me for not quite understanding this. The way I seet it, if you find a place so unbearable why would you want to return once you've left it - which I presume is what you plan to do?

Regards

Paul

Incase you hadn't noticed, Perth isn't Australia. It's just one strange place inside it. There are other more interesting and friendly places in Australia: just as well or no-one would want to live in this country

You really want to gamble the lives of 20 million people on that? They certainly came to Australia's aid in WW2, but the world is a very different place now.

Better we have a deterrent to potential invaders than rely solely on political arrangements that tie us in and make us more of a target than we ever were before.

We should continue our alliance with the US, of course, but we shouldn't become naive or complacent in the defence of this country.

I could end up back at some stage in the future, who knows? Besides I wouldn't want to see Australia and its population suffer. Perth maybe

OZ has the best airforce and navy in the region, as we are an island the only way anyone can invade us is to land troops from boats, we can easily blow the boats out of the water before they land with our superior fighter jets, navy and submarines.

Unfortunately modern warfare is not about armadas landing, it`s hi tech long distance. It`s also about guarding oil rigs in the Gulf, all it takes is a couple of small boats or suicide bombers -remember the USS Cole.

Thanks. I'll email your invite to my going away party when it happens

No doubt Wombat would love an invite too, so he could personally escort me to the plane (and make sure me and it are really leaving OZ)

Indonesia has the 4th largest navy in the world. Its also a mighty big island, and before you land troops you first run a series of heavy aerial assaults to knock out defence capabilities and communications. So attempting to "blow boats out of the water" might not be the first priority!
