My lamps that I had in the States. I would have them all rewired over here in the UK. All the lamps over here, at least those I have seen here in Wales are butt ugly.

After having been back here for 8 months now (!!!!!), I can honestly say "not much". Brought the cats, now just need dog and OH, and I'm set. Maybe the BBQ, as we have fancy schmancy hybrid that lets us burn coals (hubby hates gas) but lights with gas (so it's quicker for me). Other than that, I'm finding everything I need here - and I'm also noticing that I don't need nearly as much as I thought I did when I lived in the US.

I've done this once and I swore never again.

What would I leave behind? Car, funiture, electricals and general house stuff.

What would I take? Books, computers, CDs&DVDs, portable electronics, clothes and all the paperwork you have accumulated.

I would try and do it so that you would only have a couple of suitcases and a very small amount to ship.
