Default Tax return help

Dear Forum,

I am looking for a recommendation for a professional that can do my tax return for 2016 and 2017, i plan on moving back to UK in 2018 and will be complicated, sale of house, moving country, transferring funds etc, want to make sure everything is in line and straight with the IRS when i move. (UK Citizen, working in USA, planning to move with current company back to UK in '18).

I started doing it on turbo tax but quickly realized i need help.

Any good recommendations from people who are in similar situations?

Much Appreciated!

I am now based in the U.K., but lived in Canada for many years. I have been using this accountant to handle my tax affairs on both sides of the pond.

KIERAN LYNCH FCA, FCCA, CTA. CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT AND CHARTERED TAX ADVISER, Alsager Cheshire

Good luck with everything.

You don't seem to have any UK r=tax exposure so any good US CPA will work.

We used a local (in the US) tax accountant for years then I talked with her about us moving back and she did our taxes for a year after we moved, as we had been residents in the US for part of that final year, I paid her from UK with bill pay through our US bank That final one included a house sale. Then after that we have used TaxAct online to do free federal returns each year. Luckily (or not) we are not rich so our taxes are simple.
