Taking Dog from Rome to UK
#1
I know about the vet formalities, pet passports etc. My question is about the logistics given that:-
A) I don't want to drive and
B) my daughter refuses to put him in the hold of an aircraft.
I am looking for some kind of solution like :--- Fly to destination near channel port - train to ferry - ferry to UK type of solution. Maybe Rome-Paris then Paris-Calais then Calais -Dover. The uncertainty is the ferry bit as a foot passenger and also the trains in France.
It is unclear if a foot passenger can take a (small) dog on a crass channel ferry.
Can dogs travel on French trains?
Has anyone done anything like this?

Just tell your daughter the dog is going on the plane! It is only two hours.

Hold dogs often go on a different flight. Anyway we've given up, after a lot of research it seems the only practical way to take a small dog to UK is by car. Thanks for all your help everybody
