Default Standard Visitor Visa Question

I understand you can stay in the UK up to 6 months with this visa.

Is it possible that my wife visits me for the full 6 months without a problem? We're not registered in UK but in another country. I'm a UK citizen and moving back to study in August for 1 year and wanted to see if she stay for the first or last 6 months of my study.

Providing the visa is granted and the immigration officer at the border is satisfied then yes, no problem.

She should show strong ties to her home country with regards the application, as having a husband in the UK she could be seen as a risk for overstaying. ie. remaining in the UK until husband's stay is completed or even longer than that.
