Hi,
My mother in law (she is british) and his husband Would like to relocate from US to UK at the end of the year 2018.
Is my understanding correct that they will only consider her income combine with pension from her side to meet the financial requirement of £18,600 and she would need to have a job offer in UK too?
Would they not consider at all the husband pension? As she is falling short of $150 with the actual exchange rate to meet the financial requiremen.

Pension income from both applicant and sponsor are considered under the financial requirements.

So even when both sponsor and partner are applying outside the UK they can adds up their pensions to meet the £18,600?

The gross annual income from any State (UK Basic State Pension and Additional or Second State Pension, HM Forces Pension or foreign), occupational or private pension received by the applicant’s partner or the applicant can be counted towards the financial requirement under Category E.
